Marketing & BD Executive

We are looking for a proactive and organised marketer or BD professional, with a positive quality-led approach, to join our team. The role is permanent and can be full time or part time. You will be involved in a variety of projects that have a clear connection to the business’ client and growth strategy. You will work closely with the Director of Business Development and our team of subject matter experts to develop and implement our coordinated BD and marketing approach. This may include:

  • Providing input into the marketing and business development strategy, including researching and presenting relevant initiatives
  • Managing the implementation of a broad variety of marketing and business development activities, such as marketing collateral, email campaigns and occasional events
  • Coordinating projects with an awareness of budget and timescale targets, briefing third parties appropriately and working collaboratively to ensure creative output meets quality standards, brand guidelines and team objectives
  • Working with Fingleton colleagues and third parties as appropriate to produce relevant and engaging content in a variety of formats (to support marketing initiatives, pitches or client meetings)
  • Managing the website and social media channels to make sure content is up-to-date 
  • Managing our CRM to support and enhance client relationships and develop opportunities
  • Developing market insights to help inform business strategy 
  • Producing reports to track the relative effectiveness of various BD/marketing initiatives

Skills, experience and approach


  • Professional work experience in a B2B BD/marketing environment
  • Experience planning and delivering marketing-related activities, with a focus on the connection to broader business goals
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, in both checking own work and evaluating work from third parties before it goes back to the team or is shared externally
  • Confident in light copy editing and occasional copywriting
  • Experience working with a CRM, ideally Hubspot
  • Experience analysing data and producing management reports, to ensure a focus on activity likely to have the greatest impact
  • A versatile can-do approach and a willingness to learn
  • A passion for excellence and contribution to overall business success
  • A collaborative attitude and an emphasis on developing constructive team relationships based on mutual trust and respect


  • Prior professional services experience 
  • CIM or equivalent qualification
  • Experience organising events, including webinars and small breakfast roundtables - and post event strategy
