Alexander advises clients on a wide range of regulatory issues and opportunities, informed by almost 20 years' experience as an advisor and as a professional economist for government, regulators, and industry. He combines detailed technical insight into the approach of regulators and policymakers with an understanding of commercial realities.
At Fingleton, Alexander has advised on over 70 deals, including the main retail and technology merger reviews in the UK, and has helped clients successfully navigate market studies and regulatory investigations in a variety of jurisdictions. He has particular expertise and interest in the tech, media, sports and gambling sectors.
Previous employers include the Office of Fair Trading, Monitor, the BBC, and PwC. Alexander is a non-governmental advisor to the International Competition Network, a Trustee of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research and a non-executive director of the Football Association (as well as a member of the Football Association Council).
Alexander joined Fingleton in 2013.
