Cristina draws on multi-jurisdictional expertise to provide clients with strategic advice on competition challenges. She has first-hand experience of making regulatory decisions within the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and is also an experienced competition lawyer. Cristina combines deep knowledge of how the CMA thinks with broader competition policy experience to provide practical advice to clients considering a deal or navigating competition investigations.
Cristina joined Fingleton from the CMA where she held several roles, most recently Assistant Director of Mergers leading numerous high-profile Phase One and Phase Two merger investigations (including Vodafone / CK Hutchison, Microsoft Corporation / Mistral AI and Macquarie / Last Mile Infrastructure). Cristina was also a member of the Mergers Intelligence Committee and closely involved with the International Competition Network, including leading the update of several chapters of their recommended practices for mergers.
Cristina previously practiced as a solicitor at the Spanish law firm Uría Menéndez, with a secondment in Brussels. Cristina is also a lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.
