Niamh is a highly experienced competition and regulatory lawyer, board member and advisor, with a wealth of experience in the aviation industry. She draws on this expertise to help business leaders anticipate and navigate complex competition and regulatory issues to achieve growth objectives.

Niamh has over two decades experience working in aviation in both senior in-house roles and as a barrister in private practice. Her UK and EU competition law expertise covers a wide range of issues including M&A, joint ventures and investigations.  

Prior to Fingleton, Niamh was Head of Competition Law at the International Airlines Group (IAG) where she was the lead regulatory lawyer on all deals, and a trusted advisor to senior management and the board. She provided risk mitigation and management advice, including on competition investigations, regulatory processes such as market access, state aid, price control reviews and aviation regulation. Niamh was also on the board of Vueling Airlines for seven years. She was formerly a competition and regulatory lawyer at British Airways where she managed complex cartel investigations and litigation. Niamh previously practiced as a Barrister specialising in EU law and commercial litigation for both consumer and industrial clients. She joined Fingleton as a Senior Advisor in 2025.
