Ying helps clients anticipate and navigate emerging regulatory challenges including competition screening for their transactions. Ying draws on her rich advisory experience in global mergers and investigations to provide pragmatic advice that helps clients to optimise their regulatory approach and manage multi-jurisdictional risks. 

Ying has advised business leaders on high-profile matters in industries including technology, financial services and telecoms. Recent experience includes advising on a number of complex mergers in the UK (from pre-deal assessments to Phase 2 investigations), as well as international regulatory and policy issues surrounding digital markets. 

Prior to joining Fingleton, Ying was a solicitor at Slaughter and May in London, with secondments in Paris and Brussels. Ying joined Fingleton as a Principal in 2019 and was promoted to Director in 2021. She has written for GCR’s Foreign Direct Investment Regulation Guide on practical advice for navigating the UK’s national security regime.
